grace & eric

There are times in your life when you meet people who fill you up like an empty cup. Grace and Eric are those kinds of people. Without even realizing it, every interaction leaves you refreshed and recharged. I could not imagine two better people. When I was in high school with Grace 17 years ago, I never dreamed that one day I would be photographing her wedding. It is for reconnections like these that I am beyond grateful for in my life. I took a chance so many years later and sent her a friend request on Facebook. I imagined she probably thought I was insane since we hadn't seen each other for so long. Gotta love that "people you may know feature." She popped up one day and I clicked. When I saw her page, I knew immediately that she was someone I needed in my life. Her positivity, kindness, genuine care. At a time when that was very lacking, she fell right into my lap. Even then, I still never thought I'd be there for such a special day. I was simply grateful to see that there are still good people in the world. And then I met Eric at their engagement session. I couldn't understand how there could be one person who is so good, let alone two. I understood right away why they are together. They are each light and together they are the sun. I am immensely thankful that I was the person they chose out of an infinite number of photographers to document this amazing celebration. There were so many barriers and obstacles with COVID-19 and rescheduling, but we made it through. It was exactly as it should be.
